Dear Paulist Fathers and Collaborators,
On behalf of the Pre-Assembly Planning Committee I want to thank you for your participation in this synodal year of consultation and discernment in the lead up to the June 2026 General Assembly. I am writing to share an update on the Spring Study Groups and invite your prayerful support of the June General Assembly.
Study Group Reports
Throughout the process we had 100s of lay participants in listening sessions, more than 130 Paulists, Paulist Associates, Deacon Affiliates, and lay leaders participate across the three Pre-Assembly meetings, and dozens participate in our Study Groups this Spring.
We invite you to prayerfully read the final Study Group Reports that were delivered to the General Assembly Delegates for their discernment, including:
(1) Mission & Charism
(2) Community Life
(3) Lay Leadership & Lay Collaboration
(4) Mission Fields & Priorities (report to be posted shortly)
(5) Vocations
(6) Governance
(7) Real Estate.
June 1-12: 2026 General Assembly
What comes next?
Beginning Monday, the Paulist Fathers leadership and elected Delegates will gather at Immaculate Conception Seminary in Huntington, New York for their two-week General Assembly.
We invite you to join the Assembly Delegates in daily prayer or to share your story of how the Paulist Fathers have made a positive impact in your faith and life:
We are grateful for the ongoing prayerful consultation throughout this synodal process. Please keep the Paulist Fathers in your prayers in these spirit-filled weeks.
In prayer,
Jonathan Lewis
Mission Strategy Officer, Paulist Fathers
